What I liked and didn’t like about first quarter

Three things I liked about first quarter was that it taught me how to write essays properly in MLA format. First quarter also taught me to stay prepared for class and always turn your assignments in at the appropriate time. Lastly, first quarter taught me to always make time for your homework first and your extra curricular activities outside of school second. Some things I disliked about first quarter is that I would sometimes forget to do my homework and would have to do it at the last minute. Also, the thing I disliked about first quarter is that I would sometimes lose focus of my goals and get distracted on something that doesn’t benefit my education. Overall, my first quarter in AP English was a great experience and I’m looking forward to second quarter and it’s teachings.

The Purple Poster on the Wall

The purple poster on the great gray wall, made me feel happy and think of it all. All the things I should aspire to be and all the manners in the world that are free. It could be big, It could be small, but all in all, it’ll make your personality stand tall. Be free, be yourself, be who you truly are, if you take this free message with you, you’ll go very far. -By : Hannah Tartt

Something that is mesmerizing to me

Something that is very mesmerizing to me is the beach water in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. The beach water in Jamaica is as clear as drinking water in North America. I was very astonished by how clear the water was that I made an attempt to drink the water. It made me feel like I was on another planet because being in Jamaica wasn’t a scenery I was used too seeing on a regular basis. Visiting Jamaica gave me a prominent perspective on the different cultures and landmarks that aren’t often seen in North America.

History in the Making by Barney Scout-Mann

The article "History in the Making" is about a group of inspirational survivors who trailed the Pacific Crest Trail. Gordon Petrie was the first YMCA Relay Boys who put the PCT on the map. The relay teams consisted of 40 teams of teenage boys who carried a logbook along the PCT to collect data and write down memories to share among each other. This article also talks about reuniting the YMCA Relay Boys , to talk about their experiences and memories from the Pacific Crest Trail.                                    3 facts I learned from the article 1. People started walking along the PCT in the early 1930's. 2. Warren Rogers led the PCT trail and safeguarded the logbook for 50 years. 3. The oldest person to trail the PCT was Marcus Moschettto who is 90 years old .                                    2 wor...

Introduction

Hello! Welcome to my AP Blog! My name is Hannah Tartt. I’m 16 years old, and looking forward to  this 2018-2019 school year. When I have free time away from school, I love to listen to music and watch celebrity interviews. Three goals I plan on achieving this year are making great efforts in all my classes, having my priorities in check, and becoming the best student I can be. The reason I decided to take advanced placement classes was to challenge myself and also to become a stronger student in all subjects.
