A Lesson Befor Dying Reflection day 7 chapter 9

Chapter 9: The day has come where Grant is going to visit Jefferson. When asked how Jefferson was doing, officer Paul said that he was quiet. When Grant and Miss Emma went to Jefferson's cell, he was staring at the ceiling not even responding to them. I think Jefferson could have been a little more grateful that any one has come to visit him, knowing the situation he's in. Grant mentioned that Jefferson was staring at the ceiling, but wasn't seeing the ceiling. I think Jefferson was day dreaming about the life he had before he got himself into a horrible predicament. Jefferson even went as far as to ask Grant was he the one going to hit the switch to kill him. I'm sure Grant was thinking to himself that he was right all along about going to see Jefferson, that it was in fact a waste of his time.

Today in AP Lit, we read “You’re” by Sylvia Plath. This poem had a great amount of similes in them, that made me kind of confused at first, but when I decided to re-read it again I found some clarity. I took from the poem that the speaker was talking about a small or unborn child. The similes really gave the poem a mystery, making me even more interested in finding out what it was about.

AP ClassRoom (Wednesday)

Today in AP Classroom, I completed my first assessment with multiple choice. I used the elimination to complete the semi-complex questions. The passage and two poems were very interesting, but that last one left me a little puzzled. In a few days I’ll check my results to see just how effectively I used the elimination method.

Almost Christmas Break (Friday)

Today in AP Lit, we were assigned to finished the book “ The Color Purple ” and also the questions we were given. Also we were critiqued on our essay we previously written on The Color Purple. I made a 75 on my essay which translates to a 5 on the AP Exam. So, I’m kinda excited about the progression I’ve made so far this school year.
