Today's reflection on analyzing "I Felt a Funeral in my Brain"

Analyzing this poem was very complex, but I was determined to challenge myself and analyze it. I came to a consensus that the poem was about a man\woman who seemed to have rekindled dark memories in he\she's mind that they thought were put to rest, like a corpse at a "funeral". The speaker had problems dealing with the old memories, that he\she felt their brain going numb. The students in my AP Lit class seemed to very engaged in analyzing this poem. I look forward to increasing my skills on analyzing complex poems, instead of running away from them.
