The Importance of Meal Time

Meal time is important because it gives a family time to discuss among each other on how their day had gone. From one’s experience, a family connected with one another over meal time to talk about how their week went without being able to see each other. With being away from each other for a week, one’s family gathered at the grandparents house for diner. Steak, mash potatoes, corn, and rolls had been prepared hours before. When everyone gathered around the table, the family said a prayer and began to eat. Five minutes into the dinner, the grandmother broke the silence and sparked a conversation that stretched to each family member to the next. This shows the importance of meal time because a family was able to come together over a decent meal. The importance of meal time is beneficial because it gives one a free opportunity to make an announcement they’ve been waiting to tell their family. From one’s experience, a chose to tell his mother and father that he was expecting a child over dinner, because he felt they mood would be more settle. He decided to make his announcement about 20 minutes into the dinner. He was really relieved when his parents did not over react and he felt as if the dinner had a huge part to do with his parents mood. Meal time is a great time to connect with family or to share big news. Not only are you getting to talk with your family, you also get to enjoy your meal while in the process.
